United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) saw revenues increase 6.4% on month to NT$9.59 billion (US$332 million) in March 2011, ending a five-month streak of sequential decreases.

UMC's cumulative 2011 revenues through March amounted to NT$28.12 billion, representing a 11.4% decrease sequentially. On an annual basis, however, the figure showed a 5.3% rise compared to the NT$26.72 billion posted during the same period of 2010.

UMC is scheduled to hold an investors meeting on April 27 to discuss its first-quarter financial results and outlook for the second quarter.
