Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry) has announced it will increase its investments in its subsidiaries in China that manufacture components such as optical lenses, modules, handsets and batteries, with the total amount reaching US$175 million.
Among the subsidiaries, Foxconn is set to increase its investment in Wcube, an optical lens maker, by US$26 million. Wcube was recently reported to have cut into Apple's supply chain, sharing orders with other two suppliers - Largan Precision and Genius Electronic Optical
