Foxconn Electronics' (Hon Hai Precision Industry's) plants in Shandong province, China, were struck by a fire on September 27.
No employees are reported to have been harmed. Commenting on the incident, Foxconn pointed out that the fire has already been put out and it believes the fire was started from abandoned pipe lines that were placed on top of the plant building.
The production lines did not suffer any fire damaged and operations will remain unchanged.
Foxconn's plants in Shandong, China, mainly manufacture products including handsets, games consoles, LCD TVs and notebooks, but some of the smartphone production has already been moved to other plants in China.
