Memory module firm Adata Technology has announced revenues of NT$2.61 billion (US$85 million) for September 2011, up 6% on month.
Adata revealed that its SSD sales for September climbed to the highest monthly level in its history. Sales generated from its SSD line enjoyed a sequential 70% rise in the third quarter, the company said.
Meanwhile, Adata also generated more revenues from its external HDD line. Sales of external hard drives for the first nine months of 2011 exceeded those for all of 2010, Adata indicated.
Adata chairman Simon Chen was quoted as saying in previous reports that the company is moving toward increased production of higher-margin products such as server-use DRAM modules, SSDs and external HDDs. The company is optimistic about the fourth quarter and could see double-digit sequential growth in revenues, according to Chen.
