Foxconn Electronics after learning of the death of Apple former CEO Steve Jobs, pointed out that Jobs was a respected leader in the IT industry and Foxconn express its greatest grief toward the death of Jobs.
In an official announcement mourning the death of Steve Jobs Foxconn said,"We are truly saddened by the passing of Steve Jobs, an industry visionary, a true partner to our company, and a great friend."
"Steve had an immeasurable and positive impact on the lives of people around the world and the global electronics industry is all the better for the many contributions he made to ensuring that technology is understandable, beautiful, and, most importantly, accessible to people from all walks of life", Foxconn added
Foxconn is currently a major upstream partner of Apple assembling several different types of products including smartphones and tablet PCs, as well as supplying key components such as chassis and connectors. On the other hand, Apple is also one of the major clients of Foxconn and contributes more than 20% of Foxconn's total revenues, according to market watchers.
Commenting on Job's death, the market watchers pointed out that although Apple is a company that has been strongly covered by Jobs' aura, causing his successor to face difficulties stepping into his shoes, since Apple is also a company with clears systems covering R&D and manufacturing, if the company continues to operate within the process, there should not be any development that could hurt the company in the future.
