Foxconn October revenues hit record

Friday, November 11, 2011

Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry) saw its revenues hit record high levels in October 2011.

Foxconn reported non-consolidated revenues of NT$295.54 billion (US$9.79 billion) for October, up 33.3% on month and 21.7% on year. Foxconn credited the growth to brisk demand coming from all segments including the communication, consumer electronics and PC-related sectors.

Foxconn accumulated NT$2.15 trillion in revenues from January through October, representing a 17% rise compared to the same period of 2010.

Market observers believe Foxconn's revenues hit the peak for the year in October. Revenues for November and December are unlikely to stay at high levels as orders should have all been fulfilled for the year-end holiday season, the observers indicated.

Foxconn did not give any financial forecast.

In other news, Foxconn started recognizing revenues from the operation of its recently-acquired plant in Mexico in October
