LG Electronics plans to roll out two lineups of smart TVs, with one lineup of products running on Google TV platform and another on its own system developed in house, according to LG.
LG Taiwan made the remarks after Google said recently that it has teamed up with LG, Samsung Electronics and Vizio to develop Google TVs.
Taiwan-based LCD TV maker Amtran Technology, which makes TVs for Vizio, said it will not comment on individual clients.
However, Vizio has been a partner of Yahoo for the development of Internet-based TVs, indicated industry sources.
