Asustek Computer expects its shipments of LCD monitors to reach one million units in the first quarter of 2012, equaling the amount it shipped in the previous quarter.
Having launched 23- and 24-inch high-end CCFL-backlit models at the end of 2011, the company plans to roll out LED-backlit models in sizes ranging 23-27 inches, according to Asustek.
The new product roadmap for 2012 also includes a high-end model, the VA278Q, which boasts a 27-inch IPS panel with a display resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. However, details of the model, including pricing and availability, are not yet available
