Micro-Star International (MSI) launched a new notebook model equipped with Ivy Bridge Core i7-3610M processor and Nvidia GTX670M graphics card, according to the company.

MSI pointed out that the scale of the global gaming notebook market is about 5-6 million units and the market is enjoying growth of 10% every year. Since gamers mainly focus on performance and overclocking capability, MSI, which has many years of experience in the motherboard industry, will have advantages competing in the market.

Although MSI's notebook business suffered losses in 2011, after a great deal of reorganization, its profitability has already improved. The high gross margins of gaming notebook should help the company cover its losses, commented sources from notebook makers.
