Google and LG Electronics currently have no plans to release the Nexus 4 smartphone in Taiwan, according to LG Taiwan.

The Nexus 4 features a quad-core processor, a 4.7-inch 1280 by 768 True HD IPS Plus display, 2GB RAM and an 8-megapixel rear-end camera for a price of US$299 for an 8GB model.

The Nexus 4 is available in the US, the UK, Canada, Germany, France, Spain and Australia and will be available for other countries in Europe, Latin America and Asia to purchase on Google Play.

LG Taiwan pointed out that Nexus 4's global marketing and sales plans are set by Google and due to some standards restrictions, the Nexus 4 currently has no set schedule for release in Taiwan.

However, LG plans to launch several new own-brand flagship smartphones before February 2013 in Taiwan to attract consumers.
