TSMC November revenues down sequentially

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) on December 10 reported consolidated revenues of NT$44.253 billion (US$1.52 billion) for November, decreasing 11.38% on month but increasing 23.41% on year, and those of NT$469.134 billion for January-November, rising on year by 18.52%.

At its latest investors conference, TSMC predicted consolidated revenues of NT$129.0-131.0 billion for the fourth quarter of 2012 and generated cumulative consolidated revenues of NT$94.191 billion for October-November, meaning that TSMC needs to attain December consolidated revenues of NT$36.809 billion to reach the upper target for the fourth quarter.

Since TSMC has fully utilized its 12-inch foundry capacity, and the utilization of 8-inch foundry capacity currently stands at a high level, the company is expected to bring in consolidated revenues of about NT$40 billion in December, the Chinese-language Commercial Times cited investors as indicating.
