Nokia Corporation (ADR)(NYSE:NOK) has declared the roll-out of the new Asha 210 phone. It happens to be the very device that was shown on the website of the company a few days back.
Nokia Asha 210 features a QWERTY keyboard and a dedicated button for Whatsapp, allowing fast access to the instant messaging app. Whatsapp is celebrating its partnership with Nokia by offering free service on Nokia Asha 210 for their lifespan. The device features the power to launch Whatsapp directly from the contact cards present in the phone book.
The phone has a 2 MP camera, which can be easily accessed with the help of a dedicated button. The smart camera comes with options like capturing, editing and sharing. There is also a choice for taking a self-portrait. The built-in voice helps guiding a user to make sure that they are present in the frame. The phone also support editing pictures directly from the camera and can easily shared on social networking sites.
Nokia Asha 210 also comes with a dedicated key for switching on or off the Wi-Fi. The phone also features Slam sharing feature. Nokia Asha 205 and 206 also had this feature. Slam simplifies the method of sharing content over Bluetooth since it removes the need to pair the devices.
The phone features Nokia Xpress Browser that helps in reducing data consumption by up to 90%. The Nokia Asha 210 also comes with Nokia Nearby that allows people in finding out places of interest, including shopping, ATM machines and restaurants. The phone also comes with other pre-installed apps like Twitter, Facebook, Gmail and YouTube.
Nokia Asha 210 will come in two options, single SIM and dual SIM. Nokia’s Easy Swap technology enables users to change their SIM cards without having to switch off their phones. The phone will be available in a number of colors.
