Intel's Y series processors designed specifically for mobile devices, are expected to be broadly adopted by tablets launched by PC brand vendors and Acer has already released its 11.6-inch Aspire P3 tablet using one of the processors, in China, according to sources from PC players.
The Aspire P3 will have two versions, one using an Intel Core i3 processor, priced at CNY4,999 (US$811) and the other one using an Intel Core i5 processor, priced at CNY5,999.
The Y series is based on Intel's Ivy Bridge platform and only has a TDP of 13W and SDP of 7W.
