Computex Taipei 2013 attracted more than 130,000 visitors, including 38,000 international buyers, during June 4-8, according to the organizers, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA).
The number of international buyers increased 6% from 2012. Japan, the US, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Germany were the top-10 sources of international buyers, TAITRA indicated. Over 60% of international buyers came from Asia and about 25% from North America and Europe, TAITRA noted.
There were about 1,800 business talks and 162 forums arranged during the five-day exhibition, with cloud computing, smart mobile and touch applications being major areas of focus, TAITRA said.
Computex Taipei consisted of 1,724 exhibitors with 5,042 booths, TAITRA indicated. Computex Taipei 2014 is scheduled for June 3-7, TAITRA noted
