Consolidated revenues at Winbond Electronics increased 15.25% sequentially to NT$8.85 billion (US$294 million) in the second quarter of 2013, buoyed by growing overall sales across all product lines, according to the chipmaker.
Winbond disclosed that June sales decreased 5.4% on month to NT$2.84 billion, as clients worked off inventory ahead of the season's end. Winbond's cumulative 2013 revenues through June totaled NT$16.52 billion, slipping 0.2% from a year earlier.
Winbond's consolidated figures also include sales generated by logic IC subsidiary Nuvoton Technology.
Winbond manufactures mobile DRAM, niche-market memory and NOR flash chips, with its 12-inch wafer fab currently running at full capacity. The firm has also outsourced some of its production to Powerchip Technology.
