Nvidia sells Tegra Note through partners

Wednesday, December 4, 2013

Nvidia has been promoting the sale of Tegra Note, a 7-inch tablet equipped with an Nvidia-developed processor, the Tegra 4, at a retail price of US$199, through partnering graphics card vendors adopting Nvidia GPUs, according to Taiwan-based supply chain makers.

Nvidia is responsible for development, design and production of Tegra Note while partnering with graphics card vendors for marketing under their own brands, the sources pointed out. Nvidia's initial marketing partners for Tegra Note include EVGA and PNY Technologies in the North America market; EVGA, Osyers and Zotac in the Europe market; and Zotac and China-based Colorful Technology and Development, Shenzhen Homecare Technology in the Asia Pacific market, the sources indicated.

In addition, Taiwan-based own-brand maker Gigabyte Technology and Hewlett-Packard will market Tegra Note as well, with Gigabyte to be responsible for the Australia, Taiwan and Japan markets, the sources noted.
