Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) has reported consolidated revenues of NT$70.86 billion (US$2.15 billion) for January 2016, down 18.7% on year.
Compared to the previous month, TSMC's January revenues represented a 21.4% increase.
Specialty IC foundry Vanguard International Semiconductor (VIS) has announced consolidated sales of NT$2.01 billion for January 2016, down 3.7% on year but up 11.7% on month.
TSMC expects to post a revenue decrease of 1.3-2.7% sequentially in the first quarter of 2016, while VIS estimated its first-quarter revenues will register a 6.7-12.2% increase compared to the previous quarter.
