Apple usually holds an event in September and speculations are rife that the iPhone 7 will have its debut by that time. While it will still be a three-month wait before September, rumors about the device just keep coming.
Previous reports have claimed that one of the major changes that will be seen in the new iPhone 7 is the removal of the headphone jack. The device was previously speculated to have 3 GB of RAM and market intelligence firm TrendForce seems to corroborate this piece of information, as reported in Forbes.
It is also expected that the iPhone 7 will follow the iPhone 6's footsteps, in which it will also have a Plus model. According to MobiPicker, citing Chinese website Weibo, the iPhone 7 will be offered in three variants based on its storage capacity: 16 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB. On the other hand, the iPhone 7 Plus will start from 32 GB, followed by 128 GB and 256 GB.
Then again, Kevin Wang, director of market research at IHS Technology said that the Cupertino-based company will ditch the 16 GB entry level variant altogether, making the 32 GB variant the base unit of the new model.
As for the design, the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus is expected to look almost the same as its predecessor. The camera is also one of the highlights of the iPhone 7 as it is rumored to feature 12-megapixels of resolution, an optical image stabilizer (OIS) and a dual-LED flash.
Other rumored specs and features include a Smart Connector to be found in the iPhone 7 Plus, a more responsive Touch ID, an A10 chipset and larger battery pack. All the rumored specs about the iPhone 7 only suggest that the device will yet become another impressive release from Apple, but they should be taken with a pinch of salt.
