United Microelectronics (UMC) has reported consolidated revenues of NT$13.53 billion (US$418.6 million) for June 2016, a monthly record. UMC's revenues for June 2016 represented increases of 6.5% sequentially and 12.2% on year.

UMC generated revenues of about NT$37 billion in the second quarter of 2016, up 7.5% on quarter. The company's cumulative 2016 revenues through June totaled NT$71.4 billion, down 5.6% from a year earlier.

UMC said previously that wafer shipments would rise about 5% sequentially in the second quarter of 2016, while the ASP would rise 1-2% on quarter. The company did not provide revenue guidance.

UMC is scheduled to hold an investor meeting on July 27 to discuss its second-quarter results, and where it will provide an outlook for the third quarter.
