The Android smartphone has been code-named Nokia D1C and is expected to be launched by HMD Global at Mobile World Congress(MWC) 2017 in Barcelona. Talking about HMD, Nokia came under a strategic agreement covering branding rights and intellectual property licensing with HMD Global Oy (HMD) as on 1st December, 2016. Moreover, two variants of the phone would be launched having different prices and features.

The first version of the phone would have a 5-inch Full HD display and 2GB RAM for an estimated price of $150 (approx Rs. 10,000). The second version is said to be priced slightly high at $200 (approx Rs. 13,000) for having a 5.5-inch Full HD and 3GB RAM. Both the versions of the smartphone would run the latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and will be powered by  Snapdragon 430 processor paired with Adreno 505 GPU.
