Shanghai-headquartered Semiconductor Manufacturing International said its unit agreed to sell assets in an integrated circuit chip testing center in the city to its subsidiary SJ Semiconductor (Jiangyin) for $20 million.
The assets include machinery and business information. Semiconductor Manufacturing International (Shanghai) will record a gain of about $16.53 million before taxes from the sale, the company said in a filing to the Hong Kong stock exchange on Tuesday.
