Data center giant CyrusOne to move headquarters to Dallas

Friday, August 31, 2018

Data center giant CyrusOne will move its global headquarters to an office building under construction in Dallas’ Uptown neighborhood, the company announced Wednesday

Developer Harwood International has inked a lease with CyrusOne (Nasdaq: CONE) for 49,809 square feet inside Harwood No. 10. More than 200 CyrusOne employees will work on levels 20 through 22 in the building, located in the Harwood District, a master-planned project with 11 million square feet and $3 billion in office, retail and residential space.

The company is currently headquartered at Rosewood Court, a development at 2101 Cedar Springs Road, Ste. 900, in Dallas, less than a mile away from its new home. It is expected to occupy its new space in second quarter 2019.

“We are proud to call Dallas our home, and while CyrusOne continues to expand across the globe, we remain true to our Texas roots,” Kellie Teal-Guess, executive vice president and chief people officer at CyrusOne, said in a prepared statement. “…We are excited to partner with Harwood International as they help us build our new global headquarters for our incredible CyrusOne family. Upon completion, our state-of-the-art HQ will embody the best of this new digital era that we are helping foster for our customers.”

Harwood No. 10 is set to open this winter. It will feature 220,548 square feet of office space and what’s been dubbed “La Rue Perdue," a European-style walkway with 14,000 square feet of retail space, along with gardens and outdoor seating.

The building will also have gardens on its 10th, 16th and 17th floors, and be topped off with a 10,411-square-foot boutique office penthouse.

With its move to the Harwood District, CyrusOne joins tenants like Boston Consulting Group, Frost Bank, HollyFrontier, Northern Trust, Rolex, Polsinelli and Viant Technology.

CyrusOne provides data center services for 1,000 customers, including more than 200 Fortune 1000 companies, with 43 facilities worldwide.

This week, the company closed its $442 million purchase of Zenium Data Centers, giving it access to two of the largest data center markets in Europe.
