McCain Manufacturing, which makes modular wall systems that can configure for any project specification, has joined the fold of companies upending its operations to respond to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Vista, CA-based company says it now utilizing 100 percent of its manufacturing capabilities to quickly build and distribute COVID-19 containment spaces across the US.
The recycled aluminum-based walls — which McCain says are ideal for airports, healthcare facilities and any open public space that requires isolation areas from the public — said the walls can be made with an antimicrobial coating and are currently being manufactured around the clock at the company’s headquarters.
According to McCain, the dust-free walls can be created within minutes, installed within hours and are easy to disinfect without jeopardizing the integrity of the surface. The company says it takes two installers just 30 minutes to build an 8-foot-wide by 16-foot-long containment room.
The company’s past work includes wall systems for southern California healthcare facilities such as the VA San Diego Healthcare System at the University of California San Diego and Johns Hopkins Medicine; airports that include San Diego International and LAX, and several corporate offices nationwide.
