Solomon Systech (International) Ltd has launched the SSD2363, considered to be the world’s first PM-MicroLED display driver, which taps into the next generation of high-brightness display for wearables, home appliances, and industrial applications.
Offering all the advantages of traditional displays but with features of longer lifetime, better durability, higher efficiency and brightness, MicroLED is believed to be the next generation of display technology. It enables flexible, foldable, rollable, and transparent displays, which allow more possible applications in the future. The advantage of being flexible would be even more prominent in PM type MicroLED because of its lower tooling cost of panel.
Solomon Systech’s new driver SSD2363 is compatible with a high-resolution PM-MicroLED panel up to 256RGB x 256. Supporting 768 segments and 256 common output, it gives manufactorers and brands more flexibility in tailor-making 16.7M color display for panel sizes up to three inches according to their individual requirements.
Moreover, the SSD2363 supports 320µA segment maximum source current and 120mA common maximum sink current. It supports 24-bit parallel, SPI and MIPI interface, which enables high-speed data transmission to facilitate the display of complicated contents.
Samples of SSD2363 are now available. For more information, visit www.solomon-systech.com or contact sales@solomon-systech.com.
