Tech Giants Connecting the Future of AI Innovation Converge at COMPUTEX 2024

Friday, June 7, 2024

COMPUTEX 2024 opens today, June 4, at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1 and 2. Featuring around 1,500 exhibitors from around the world, using 4,500 booths, co-organizers Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and the Taipei Computer Association (TCA) expect over 50,000 overseas and local visitors over the next four days.

“Computing power is the most important key in the AI era. Taiwan has a complete AI ecosystem and rich talent resources, attracting customers from around the world to find ideal partners. COMPUTEX is committed to computing innovations, giving people unprecedented possibilities,” said TAITRA Chairman, James C.F. Huang during a press conference.

“Taiwan’s ICT industry has a proven track record of over 40 years of R&D experience and professional reputation. International buyers today agree that we are among the most efficient, reliable, and trustworthy partner, as well as the best choice for building GenAI solutions globally,” said Paul S.L. Peng, Chairman of the TCA.

COMPUTEX 2024 to showcase a new era of future technology

The COMPUTEX keynote focuses on “Connecting AI” and covers topics such as AI computing, advanced connectivity, future mobility, immersive reality, sustainability, and innovations.

AMD Chairman and CEO Dr. Lisa Su delivered the first keynote speech, kicking off exciting show activities. More speakers include Qualcomm President and CEO Cristiano Amon, Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger, MediaTek Vice Chairman and CEO Dr. Rick Tsai, Supermicro President and CEO Charles Liang, NXP Semiconductors EVP and CTO Lars Reger, and Delta Research Center General Director Dr. Tzi-cker Chiueh, who will share trends and insights in the AI field.

This year’s COMPUTEX Forum will have talks on the theme “Let’s Talk Generative AI”. Technology giants such as NVIDIA, Google, Synopsys, and AWS will focus on AI application. They will be joined by major manufacturers such as Micron, Arm, Seagate, Ampere, and Phison to share how hardware innovations support AI technology and drive overall industry development.

InnoVEX 2024

InnoVEX 2024, the innovative exhibition area for start-ups, will bring together 400 start-up companies from more than 30 countries, displaying innovative products and solutions with artificial intelligence, green technology, smart mobility, and semiconductor applications as the main presentations. This year, there are seven national pavilions will participate, including Belgium/Flanders, Brazil, France, Australia/NSW Pavilion, Japan, Indonesia, and India.

Garage+, the global accelerator, has selected 36 technological start-ups from the four major fields of AI and data, digital solution, energy and healthcare, and IoT and manufacturing out of 294 applications from 47 countries to participate in the exhibition. Additionally, Small and Medium Enterprise and Startup Administration will feature a themed pavilion, “Technology Empowers Green Ecology, Innovation Leads Sustainable Development,” inviting outstanding domestic and international start-up teams to showcase advanced technologies and innovative solutions, injecting new sustainable momentum into green economic development.

Sustainable Design Award

ESG sustainable governance is an urgent task for the global industry. COMPUTEX takes on the green transformation of the exhibition as its own responsibility and is committed to promoting the concept of sustainable environmental protection. In addition to continuing last year’s highly praised “ESG GO! Booth Signage” and “Earth Mission APP”, this year marks the first “Sustainable Design Award,” encouraging exhibitors to integrate the 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) spirit into their booths.

This initiative aims to promote green exhibition concepts and connect the industry towards a low carbon, low pollution, and low energy consumption for a sustainable future.

COMPUTEX 2024 not only showcases Taiwan’s industrial strength, but also links major global technology players, start-up teams, and professional buyers, serving an important communication platform for the ICT industry.
