If you've already smashed your iPhone 16 screen or destroyed its battery somehow, repair parts for Apple's latest smartphone are now available on its self-service website.
As MacRumors reports, users can now purchase replacements for the iPhone 16's displays, battery, back glass, cameras, speakers, primary microphone, and more.
A replacement iPhone 16 display costs between $279 and $379, depending on the model. An iPhone 16 or 16 Pro back glass will cost $169, whereas a 16 Plus or Pro Max back glass will cost $199. Batteries for the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus are $99; the same for iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models are $119.
Apple is also renting out repair toolkits. A set costs $49 a week. Once you have the parts and tools, you can refer to the repair manuals released in September to complete your DIY repair session. While Apple encourages self-service repair, it warns that only those "experienced with the complexities of repairing electronic devices" should do it.
Apple iPhones have generally been hard to repair, but a recent iFixit teardown found the iPhone 16 to be the most repairable Apple smartphone. It earned a seven out of 10 repairability score, up from four on the iPhone 15.
