Infineon Technologies showcased its latest and innovative solutions for the contactless payment industry at the Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF) 2024 held early this month at the Singapore EXPO.

One of the platforms is the SECORA Pay Bio, the first pre-certified, all-in-one biometric payment solution that blends security and convenience with easy enrollment. SECORA Pay Bio integrates the SLC39B system-on-chip Secure Element and a biometric sensor into Infineon’s biometric Coil on Module (BCoM) packaging, which is based on inductive coupling technology. This streamlines the entire hardware architecture of biometric payment cards with a cutting-edge, all-in-one offering that simplifies card production and issuance.

Compliant with Mastercard and VISA specifications, SECORA Pay Bio offers convenient, unique contactless payment experiences to cardholders.

Another showcase is the SECORA Pay Green, which, through Infineon’s COM packaging that replaces the traditional copper wire antenna embedded in payment cards, enables a further 60% reduction in the CO2 emissions associated with the sourcing and logistics of the raw materials for card production, according to Climate Partner. SECORA Pay Green is the industry’s first payment solution that allows for fully recyclable cards.
