iPhone SE 4 Rumored to Be Launching Next Week

Monday, February 10, 2025

Apple’s most affordable iPhone is finally getting an update. The iPhone SE 4 is expected to be announced next week and go on sale later this month, Bloomberg reports.

Apple expects the iPhone SE 4 to “spur growth and entice consumers to switch from other brands.” However, the company might not hold an event for the reveal and opt for a press release instead, the report adds.

Rumors about the iPhone SE 4 have been circulating for quite some time. The device will do away with huge bezels and adopt an edge-to-edge display. It will also ditch the Home Button and Touch ID in favor of Face ID for improved security. Overall, from the front, it could look like the iPhone 14.

Tipster Majin Bu leaked the first looks of the SE 4 last month, and it appears to confirm all of the above rumors. The video also tips a USB-C charging port at the bottom and a single-camera module at the back.

Looks aside, the iPhone SE 4's biggest selling point could be its support for Apple Intelligence. Apple will likely pack the A18 chip and 8GB of RAM to enable the AI features.

Additionally, Bloomberg states that the upcoming device could be the first to use Apple’s in-house cellular modem chips. While it won’t match the capabilities offered by Qualcomm's chips, it would act as Apple’s first step in reducing its reliance on the chip maker.

Details about the pricing are scarce. The current iPhone SE (2022) was launched at $429, but Apple might slightly increase the price to compensate for Apple Intelligence features.
