TSMC’s 2nm yields are now said to be well above the 60-70% reported by TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo in December and headed for mass production this year.

TSMC’s 2nm fabs at Baoshan and Kaohsiung can run 80k wpm at full capacity which is thought to be enough to satisfy initial 2nm demand.
Potential rivals Samsung and Intel are reported to have yields at 20-30% putting them six months or more behind TSMC which will deter customers.
At the same time, TSMC is looking at ways to reduce wafer cost and so solidify its grip on the leading edge process foundry market.
In April, TSMC’s CyberShuttle MPW service is expected to start running 2nm wafers which will substantially cut NREs.
