October semiconductor sales of $72.7 billion were up 4.7% on September’s $69.5 billion 27.2% more than the October 2024 total of $57.2 billion, says the SIA.
“Global semiconductor sales continued to increase in October, topping September’s results and far outpacing October of last year. Growth continues to be driven by sales into the Americans and Asia Pacific,” says SIA CEO John Neuffer, “meanwhile, the 2025 WSTS autumn forecast calls for record-breaking global market growth in 2025, with sales projected to approach $1 trillion in 2026.”
October semi sales up 4.7% on SeptemberRegionally, year-to-year sales in October were up in the Americas (59.6%), Asia Pacific/All Other (24.8%), China (18.5%), and Europe (8.3%), but declined in Japan (-10.0%). Month-to-month sales in October increased in Asia Pacific/All Other (7.2%), China (4.4%), the Americas (3.5%), Europe (3.5%), and Japan (0.6%).
Additionally, SIA today endorsed the WSTS autumn 2025 global semiconductor sales forecast, which projects annual global sales will grow by 22.5% to $772.2 billion in 2025.
In 2026, global sales are projected to reach $975.4 billion, revised up from the spring estimate of $760.7 billion.
