Fujitsu Ltd. is still in flash memory talks with Advanced Micro Devices Inc., according to reports from Japan.
Fujitsu and AMD already have a deal in place with their Fujitsu AMD Semiconductor alliance, an equally owned flash plant in northern Japan.
An extension of that partnership is still underway. Nevertheless, neither company has taken a firm stance on the possibility.
Japan's Asahi Shimbun reported Sunday that Fujitsu and AMD were in the final stage of talks to set up a new joint entity, aiming to have the effort in place by the end of Q4.
