Communicant Semiconductor Technologies AG, a Frankfurt, Germany-based silicon germanium carbon (SiGe:C) BiCMOS and LDMOS foundry, today named Helmut Brunner as chief operating officer.
Brunner will lead the company's construction and manufacturing operations, reporting directly to Abbas Ourmazd, CEO.
Brunner was most recently general manager of Siemens' Electronic Manufacturing Center in Vienna, Austria. He has held senior general management and plant management positions in semiconductor manufacturing in Germany, England, Austria and France.
Communicant's $1.3 billion facility will be operational in 4Q 2004.
