Printer sales in Japan decline for sixth consecutive quarter, Gartner Japan¡¦s Dataquest division reported. The report cited the continued weakness in printer demand in Japan is due to weak corporate IT spending.
About 1.33 million printers were sold in Japan in the period on sales value of 75.8 billion yen, down 11% and 13%, respectively, from the same period last year. By product type, 1.02 million inkjet printers and 265,000 business printers were sold.
