Via Technologies filed a further complaint against Intel with Taiwan's Fair Trade Commission on December 24, 2002.
The December 24 complaint accuses Intel of unfair competition and the report cites sources saying that Advanced Micro Devices may join Via as plaintiffs in the case.
In the future, VIA reportedly said it would not rule out bringing a similar complaint in the US.
The legal dispute between Via and Intel hinges on Via's refusal to pay Intel Pentium 4-platform licensing fees in 2001, and now includes several patent infringement as well as unfair competition cases.
