Taiwan’s major chip player Via Technologies Inc. today announced its monthly sales results for December.
Despite December’s net sales of $53.2 million falling 20.2 percent below November’s levels, the company said its Q4 was still 12 percent greater than its Q3. For Q4, Via reported revenue of $193.2 million, compared to $172.8 million for Q3.
For the year, Via reported sales of $725.2 million, down 26.5 percent from 2001.
The results follow a ruling earlier this week in a Taiwanese court that representatives of rival Intel Corp. were not guilty of destroying balloons and other promotional materials belonging to Via.
