Infineon wins court orders against ProMos

Monday, January 27, 2003 The Court's rulings in Taiwan has approved both Infineon's injunction applications in which two Infineon employees will resume office immediately.

The employees were removed at an extraordinary shareholder meeting of ProMOS on Jan. 10. Angela Shih will serve as supervisor and Michael Buckermann as member of the ProMOS board of directors, Infineon said.

"Infineon appreciates the prompt decision by the Hsinchu District Court in this matter and is prepared to take other appropriate actions to defend its rights as a shareholder of ProMOS," the company said in a statement.

The company said in a statement today that its license agreement with ProMOS has been terminated due to a serious breach of contract. Infineon claimed that ProMOS is supplying products manufactured with its technology to Mosel.
