Intel's CEO said at Intel Developer Forum that worldwide information technology market is expected to grow by 4%-7% to $3 trillion in 2003 in anticipation of the PC upgrade and broadband push.
Intel CEO, Craig Barrett, said the major PC upgrade cycle is around the corner. Many PCs that installed in the last 3 to 5 years will need to be upgraded to catch up with the speed required to run some applications. The exploding of the broadband especially in Asia, is another reason, to the increase growth in IT this year, he said.
