Micron Technology Inc. announced the availability of its validated DDR400 products following the earlier news of the same validation from other DRAM makers.
Intel's upcoming Springdale chip, announced at Intel Developer Forum, is set to support DDR400 and DDR333. The technology is scheduled to begin production in the second half of 2003, according to Intel.
Micron said it expects DDR400 demand to grow significantly as the market moves to higher speed DDR products. Mircon expects the modules sent to Intel to be validated in the coming weeks.
