The Silicon Valley Association of Startup Entrepreneurs and IndUS Entrepreneurs, two non-profit business groups, have scheduled a seminar on funding opportunities in Asia for U.S. entrepreneurs.
The seminar, "Money from Asia: New Funding Opportunities for Entrepreneurs," will be an interactive panel discussion planned for March 6th. Silicon Valley transpacific investment experts will discuss "how U.S. entrepreneurs can fight the domestic funding crunch by accessing investment from Asia," according to SVASE.
The panel will discuss ways U.S. entrepreneurs can access money from Asia including direct investment venture capital, corporate investment, licensing deals, joint ventures and partnerships. A lawyer who regularly deals with U.S. companies that do business in Asia also will present.
SVASE president Laura Rhoden said the group designed the seminar to offer funding alternatives to U.S. high tech startups that are having trouble finding funding domestically.
