According to the organizer of CeBIT Hannover, a totaled of 640 Taiwanese firms have joined, making the largest numbers of exhibitors for two consecutive year. Last year, 590 Taiwanese manufacturers participated in the show, placing former number one place the US.
Top firms from the list are Acer Inc., Asustek Computer Inc., BenQ Corp., Micro Star International Co., Ltd., VIA Technologies Inc. and many more. This year, some Taiwanese companies have increase their exhibition area like Micro Star International and VIA Technologies while Asustek, First International Computer (FIC), Mitac International and BenQ will make a high profile showing at the event.
The organizer also short listed second and third places exhibitors including the U.S. with.264 companies, the UK with 228 firms. And from Asia, after Taiwan is South Korea with 150companies, Hong Kong with104 and China with 88 companies.
Intel Corp., the world's No.1 chipmaker, will exhibit its Centrino notebook computer processor and 865 chipset. Taiwanese motherboard makers anticipate that the new cutting-edge Intel products will boost demand for their products after the show. CeBIT 2003 considered one of the top three computer trade shows in the world, which the schedule of the show will start on March12~18, 2003 in Hannover, Germany.
