United Microelectronics Corp. is experiencing a upbeat first quarter with likely double digit increase in revenue for the three months ending March, according to the latest sales figures from the company.
UMC said its February sales rose 51%, to $157.2 million, from $104.1 million in February 2002.
Total sales for the first two months of this year added up to $313.3 million, up 42% from $220 million in the comparable 2002 period.
