DDR spot prices for 256Mbit memory have increased by 23.2% since late February to reach US3.45 today from an average of US$2.80 on February 27, according to a DRAM trade firm.
The report said that China, Japan, an well as Europe have increased their DDR demand.
The recent rise in DDR prices should be a short-term cycle although stronger demand has emerged, analysts said. DDR prices have dropped almost 50% in the first two months of 2003.
