After about 2 years of existing the notebook business, Gigabyte Technology surprised the market with the launch of its G-MAX NB 1401Centrino-platform notebook.
In the past, Gigabyte handled all of its own production. Now the company has decided to outsource production to First International Computer.
The decision of Gigabyte to enter the notebook sector may have been triggered by potential sales in China where the company enjoys high brand recognition and market share in the motherboard sector.
