Nortel Network existed the wireless market in 2001. On Monday, it decided to return to the high-end wireless networking equipment market mainly for the telephone carriers and midsize to large businesses.
Nortel is pushing its access points products with both 802.11b standard and 802.11a, which is five times faster.
Nortel is also selling a network switch that adds security measures to these networks. And the company is selling radios for both laptops and personal digital assistants, according to Nortel Networks spokesman.
