Contract prices for DRAMs negotiated in the first half of June rose slightly for 256- and 128Mbit DDR SDRAM and remained unchanged for single-data-rate SDRAM of the same densities, according to the latest report by DRAMExchange.com.
Prices for 256Mbit DDR rose 10 cents from May to a range of $3.50 to $3.90, while 128Mbit DDR also rose 10 cents to a range of $1.70 to $2.20.
Single-data-rate SDRAM at 256Mbit densities was in a range of $4 to $5, the same prices that have prevailed since March. SDR 128Mbit was at $2.50 to $3.25, unchanged since mid-April, according to DRAMExchange.
By contrast, 256Mbit DDR in the volatile spot market jumped 15% from a week ago to an average $4.42. The spot price of 128Mbit DDR rose 5% to an average $3.49.
