After cutting its revenue outlook by $100 million to $615 million last month, AMD reported a weaker 2nd quarter revenue Wednesday due to expected weaker sales in Asia. Sales for the quarter were $645 milliion compared to $600.3 million a year ago. Net loss were $140 million, or 40 cents a share, lower than last year loss of $184.9 million.
Analysts had expected the company to post a loss of 54 cents per share on revenue of $614.21 million. AMD expected third-quarter sales to increase amid uncertain market condition.
