IBM plans to launch its first Tablet PC in the fourth quarter of this year, according to sources familiar with the company. the Tablet PC will feature a 12.1-inch display and both handwriting and keyboard input.

LG-IBM will produce the unit bundled with IBM's self-developed Tablet PC handwriting software, source said.

On the other hand, LG Electronics also plans to introduce its own-brand Tablet PC using the same core design in the near future, sources said.
