IDT released a Register Validation Board (RVB) to test and validate the registers used in the next generation DDR2 DIMMs.
The board allows the users to analyse the pre- and post-register address bus of DDR2 registered DIMMs. It also provide analysis tools for testing DIMM voltage, reference voltages, clock speeds and timing relationships between clocks and address and control signals, IDT said.
Up to the release of this board, there has been no common reference test for DIMM registers, IDT said. The RVB is designed by IDT but is made and distributed by CST, Inc, Dallas, a DIMM testing company. Each board is priced at $1,650.
