Nokia said it has acquired technology from Sega.com, a subsidiary of gaming giant SEGA Corp., that will bring multi-player support to the N-Gage handset.
N-Gage is a morphed mobile phone/gaming platform that allows users to compete and talk with each other over GPRS networks.
Through the acquisition, Nokia gains access to the Sega network application package (SNAP) multi-player gaming technology for fixed and mobile environments. According to Nokia, SNAP will be available on N-Gage starting in early October.
