JEDEC, the leading developer of standards for the semiconductor industry, is pleased to announce the JEDEX conference will be held in Shanghai, China at the Hilton hotel on October 21‑22, 2003. The event includes two full days of presentations highlighting the latest developments and issues in semiconductor technology.
Dr. Richard Chang, President & CEO of SMIC, the largest semiconductor foundry in China, will be the opening keynote speaker. The conference will also feature keynotes by T. S. Jung, Senior Vice President of Samsung Semiconductor, a leading technology company and the world’s largest supplier of DRAM, a senior executive from Micron Technology Inc., a leading supplier of Flash memory, image sensors and leading-edge DRAM, and a senior executive from Infineon Technologies AG, a leader in semiconductors for the automotive and industrial sectors as well as memory products. The program will feature an array of subjects that are vital to semiconductor technology and displays of the latest products. Covered topics will include the latest developments in lead free processing, quality and reliability, wireless technology, packaging technology, connector technology, and mainstream memory, including memory applications, DIMM testing, and specific design training on DDR1 and DDR2. Presentations will also be made on handling intellectual property and the role JEDEC plays in worldwide semiconductor standardization.
